Delaware Theater Association's 67th Annual One Act Competition
The Delaware Theater Association will be holding its 67th Annual One Act Play Competition on March 28th at Arden Gild Hall, in Arden, Delaware.

The Milton Theatre will be competing for its second year now in this event. This year, Milton will be sending, "The Sisters," an original one act play, written by John C. Warrener.

"The Sisters," won first place at the Milton Theatre's Third Annual Evening of One Acts in June, earning the right to advance to this statewide competition.

Chapel Street Players, a long time competitor in this event, will be sending, "Relative Strangers," a published piece by Sheri Wilner.

Wilmington Drama League, another long time competitor in the DTA Festival, will be sending "Larry Gets The Call," an original piece by WDL's own, Matt Cassarino.

The Arden Club Theatre, in addition to playing host to the festival this year, will be submitting, "Bon Appetite," a twenty minute, one woman opera by composer Lee Hoiby that tells the comedic tale of Julia Child baking a cake.

Finally, the Reedy Point Players of Delaware City will be bringing their original piece, "A Little Hope," by Matthew Lovelie. The Reedy Point Players are relatively new to the theatre scene in Delaware, and will be competiting in the festival for the first time.

The evening will be split into two sessions. The first begins at 2:00 pm, and will end at 6 pm, with a break for dinner. The Arden Dinner Guild will be preparing dinner for anyone interested. The second session will begin at 7:30 pm, and will end around 10:00 pm, with an awards presentation to follow.

In all, it promises to be a wonderful afternoon and evening of theater in the quaint town of Arden. And at only $10 for admission, it is a bargain.
