Solo Banton started MCing at the age of 11 as a younger MC on his brother's sound system King Shamma International. Experimenting with rap/hip hop for a while in his teens he finally joined Majestic Sound and was the selecta with Shadey as well as the MC with Daddy MG. In 2009, he released the blistering hit "Talk To Me" produced by Maffi and Jahtari. "Want to Go Home," his first release on his home Reality Shock Records was followed by the smash "Walk Like Rasta" which raised him to new heights. There have been many releases since then: a blistering dancehall tune called "No," the digital steppas style "Dancehall Nice Again," roots singles "Serious Days" and "Never Hear," and dubstep fans favorites "Burn Babylon Coke," "No Joke Ting" and "Mic Check." His exceptional album Higher Levels was released to an incredible reception, while his subsequent tour has packed out venues across the U.K. and Europe. His forthcoming EP alongside the mighty Dubkasm, is set to be released in April. Solo's live performances radiate both energy and quality, pairing his strong delivery with a serious message.

This night is also the U.S. release party for Prince Fatty VS. Mungo's Hi Fi, the much-anticipated release of the next installment from the legendary Prince Fatty (producer and engineer Mike Pelanconi) whose credits include Lilly Allen's smash "Alright Still" and has worked with Bukky Leo, Nostalgia 77, Prince Buster, Lee 'Scratch' Perry and Studio One. Mixed in his own seaside studios, in an analog haze of vintage spring reverbs, tape echoes and custom hi-grade mixing console, Prince Fatty's own dub-soaked tunes often feature vocalist Hollie Cook (The Slits) & Mc Horseman.
