Working with Torture Survivors in Western New York
Jewish Family Service,
Buffalo, NY
Share this event:

This workshop is designed for any service provider who works with refugees, asylees and other immigrants. The information will allow us to operate under same definitions and begin the work of developing community wide supports for survivors of torture and refugee trauma. This training is part 1 of 3 and is presented by Jewish Family Service, Journeys End, Vive, Lakeshore Behavioral Health and UB Family Medicine. The collaboration seeks to develop a network of care providers, skilled at addressing refugee trauma and torture. To promote healing within this community, we invite you to participate in this day long training.  People who have experienced refugee trauma and torture may have complex needs that require the expertise of each of our agencies.
