DEEPER SHADE OF BLUE
North Carolina can once again be credited for producing great bluegrass. Hailing from just east of Charlotte, Deeper Shade of Blue is comprised of Jason Fraley (mandolin/vocals), Troy Pope (guitar/vocals), Frank Poindexter (dobro/vocals), Scott Burgess (bass/vocals), and Steve Wilson (banjo). The band has been together for 21 years and produced six albums. A quick search on YouTube will no doubt prove why this band has been a favorite for so long. With their tight harmony singing, dynamic instrumentation and energetic stage show, theyve been lauded as one of the best touring groups in the industry and one that festivals have added to their lineup year after year.
THE ALEX LEACH BAND
Formed and based in East Tennessee, The Alex Leach Band is a multi-talented group that brings exceptional musicianship and high energy to any stage they play. After releasing their debut album on the Mountain Home Music label with award winning producer, Jim Lauderdale, the band spent all of 2021 burning up the roads playing Folk, Bluegrass, and Americana festivals all over the country.
Singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Alex Leach is accompanied on stage and in the studio by his wife and vocalist, Miranda Leach, as well as Baker Northern on banjo and mandolin, longtime member, JT Coleman on bass, Zack Russell on guitar, mandolin and vocals, and Kasey Moore on fiddle, guitar and vocals.
The band is taking the acoustic music of the traditional Bluegrass and Americana world that Alex grew up in; the world that inspired him to start playing in the first place and moving it ahead into a new future of venues, audiences, and genres.
