The worlds of family, magic, vaudeville, Asian immigration, international conflicts, acrobatics, popular song, animation and love of a good story come together in this historical road movie of a filmmaker's five-year quest to find the real story of her cosmopolitan great grandfather, Long Tack Sam. As filmmaker Ann Marie Fleming uncovers more and more about her colorful ancestor, his life expands before our eyes to touch on almost every aspect of the Asian diasporic experience.
