From Canada, we present the US premieres of two documentaries about adoptees reconnecting with their birth families. Together, these films illustrate the breadth of the Asian adoptee experience.
BROKEN ROOTS Canada, 2004, 47 minutes > US premiere David is a troubled Korean adoptee struggling to cope with Tourettes and manic depression. In a desperate act, his adoptive Canadian parents return him to his birthplace in South Korea to reunite with his birth father.
