May 2014 ALD is making a big step to a next level: 10 days long trip to Poland to perform our acclaimed shows: Broken Flowers, Rite of Spring and The Chopin Project. This exciting adventure will be supported in part through our 11th Anniversary Benefit Ball, featuring:
Sit-down dinner: fine Polish fare from Grandpa's Cafe, great wine selection, draft beer
Entertainment: Steven Adams - guitar, Tatiana Kolchanova - violin, Nancy Wood - soprano, Paul Safar - pianist
Dance Party on large dance floor with live music by NEKKED BONZ (NBZ)
MCs: Don Kern & Carla Grant from The Tuesday Group
ALDancers in past and present excerpts, plus previews of new creations
Silent auction for tickets to prime artistic events around the region and many more! not to miss!
In 11 years we've staged over 180 performances in 3 countries on 2 continents with over 250 different dancers, 150 musicians, 12 actors, 10 children and 1 dog over 22,000 have attended at wide-ranging venues, including 5 international dance festivals. ALD prides itself on the extensive number of performances we've staged with musicians aboard (i.e. not in the can). Our signature is collaboration we relish it and consistently deliver inspired highbred art.
