The Future is Female
On Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 7:30pm, pianist Sarah Cahill will perform music by eleven women composers, as part of her ongoing curation project, "The Future is Female." "The Future is Female" is an investigation and reframing of the piano literature, which highlights and celebrates more than seventy compositions by women, from the Baroque to the present day, including new commissioned works. Earlier this year, Cahill released The Future is Female, Vol. 1 In Nature, the first of a three-album series on UK-based First Hand Records. Vol. 2, The Dance, will be released on October 21.
