Color Theory Basics
Introduction to the color theory with color pencil as a medium. This technique is a building block for the artist creator. Understanding how to use a color wheel, why you should have one, and making your own are steps to effective color utilization when creating. The class does not include materials and artists asked to bring their own color pencils. Typical entry-level brands are GoldFaber, Prismacolor, and Crayola. Artist grade pencils from Blick Studio will be available for purchase. Paper impacts results as well, and the instructor will have a variety of paper samples to experiment on. This class is part of a series, however, no prior class attendance is required.
