Shawano Folk Music Festival - 2022
This year marks the 44th anniversary of the Shawano Folk Music Festival. There was no actual festival in 2020, but we held one in our hearts and minds, and called it our 42nd annual. In 2021, we held a short one-day event at Franklin Park in Shawano. That was our 43rd year. This year we are back under the trees again, at Mielke Park, and everyone is so excited to return to our beautiful location.
Friday and Saturday evening concerts will be held inside the quaint, air-conditioned Mielke Arts Center, with a great lineup of performers each night. Saturday and Sunday daytime programs include music, dance, food, craft demos, sing-alongs, and open mic, all on multiple outdoor stages and other spots on the grounds.
Our 2022 lineup: Friday concert - Pat Wiley, Crystal River Trio, Wade Fernandez, and Anne Hills. Saturday concert - Indigie Femme, Bounding Main, Josh White, Jr., and Art Stevenson & Highwater. MC's - Friday: Dean Simon, Saturday: Anne Hills. Daytime performers include Cory Arndt, Carolyn Carter, Jahmes Finlayson, Fox & Branch and a 10-yr old concertina player, Zander Raymakers.
It's a family friendly weekend, and it goes on rain or shine. Join us for an evening concert, a day, or the entire weekend. The festival is sponsored by the Shawano County Arts Council and is produced by an all-volunteer planning committee.
Come sing, dance and play with us!
