Uproar Theatre One-Act Festival: The Living Room

Join us for an evening of drama and comedy as Uproar Theatre presents its festival of one-acts! The festival will feature three shows written by female Mississippi playwrights.

PRE-SALE TICKETS ONLY
Due to limited parking, we will only be honoring tickets sold in advance.

CONTENT
Our shows contain adult language and themes. We recommend a minimum attendee age of 15.

PARKING
Please park on the paved drive outside The Cedars. We strongly encourage carpooling if you are planning to see the show with a group of friends.

SEATING
The production will take place on the back porch of The Cedars. We will have folding chairs set up for our guests, but feel free to bring your own chair, too! In the event of rain, the show will move inside and seating will be provided.

BATHROOMS
The Cedars has a bathroom for patron use.

REFRESHMENTS
Candy, chips, sodas, and other items will be available for purchase before the show and during a 10 minute intermission.

A couple nearing retirement finds themselves in need of an extracurricular activity. Naturally, they decide to join a cult. Initiation begins, and hilarity ensues. But what will happen when it's time for their ascension?

SAILING

Some people bravely face their problems and neuroses head-on. Other people imagine themselves as deckhands on 17th century galleons in some northern sea. Jenny is definitely one of the latter. Over the course of a single therapy session, Jenny begrudgingly goes on a journey into the depths of her imagination, desperate to find meaning. With Gaspard's help and the looming possibility of confessing her feelings to Andrea, Jenny digs into the challenge of finding herself when everything else is falling apart.
