FLOP, a lifetime of regrettable musicals
From the 1950s through the 1980s, eccentric and avant-garde Italian composer Spumon DeCarlo penned and produced over a dozen regrettable musicals that all bombed on Broadway.
Success and fame find DeCarlo forty years after his last musical when his grandson Gino posts videos of his productions on social media, sky rocketing DeCarlo to instant viral celebrity and international acclaim from a new generation of theater goers.
Join us as the American Theater Wing honors Spumon DeCarlo with a lifetime achievement award for his invaluable contribution to the American Musical Theater.
