Crafting A Nation CAN'D AID Benefit Screening
It is no secret that the production team behind Crafting A Nation live in Colorado. So, last September, it was heartbreaking for us to see our home literally washed away. However, we felt inspired when we saw the people and businesses that were affected by the devastation come together, support one another, and raise money. We wanted to do something, and finally figured out what we can do.
On Thursday, December 19th, 2013, we will be hosting a screening of Crafting A Nation at Oskar Blues Brewery's Tasty Weasel. 100% of ticket sales will go directly to the CAN'D AID Foundation, Oskar Blues' charitable nonprofit. The CAN'd Aid Foundation started as an immediate response to the September flooding, and has raised $260,000 for families, small businesses and local organizations in just 8 weeks!
Crafting A Nation is a feature length documentary about how American craft brewers are rebuilding the economy one craft beer at a time. The film travels from coast to coast capturing the stories of brewers, business owners, and stubborn dreamers with the entrepreneurial spirit.
Yes, the Oskar Blues story does play a role in the film. Stick around after the screening for a Q & A with OB soul founder Dale Katechis, head brewer Tim Matthews, other brewing industry folks and the makers of Crafting a Nation.
Let's rally together to celebrate craft beer and support our friends and neighbors who were affected by the flood. OB's Bonewagon will be on the scene, so grab some food, a delicious specialty brew from the tap room and enjoy a night with Oskar Blues.
We hope to see you all there, and thank you so much for the support!
