EverGreen Theatre Ensemble presents Arrow of Love
Megan Wells, creator of HELENs TROY returns again to the EverGreen Theatre Ensemble at the Naperville Woman's Club with another epic story experience. ARROW OF LOVE, is Megans retelling of the classic Roman myth of Eros and Psyche. This ancient oral tale, appearing in many forms in many cultures, was first penned by Roman poet Apuleius. Daughter of a king, the beautiful mortal Psyche, is swept away by Eros the God of Love. Losing him she must brave four impossible tasks set by Venus the Goddess of Beauty. In these marvelous tasks, Psyche learns that her beauty must be equal to her wit, courage, insight and patience. Megan imagines the tale from a contemporary psychological point of view. On her own search for the secrets of love, Megan falls into the land of myth, following Psyche and the Gods as they illuminate the deep journey of the soul on the path of love.
