We are honored to host Alice Waters for her new cookbook THE ART OF SIMPLE FOOD II. Ms. Waters is a true food luminary and is the owner of Chez Panisse Restaurant and Cafe in Berkeley, California. Her new cookbook includes 200 new recipes for dishes made from food you can grow in your own garden. This dinner with Ms. Waters will be a special fundraising event for the Edible Schoolyard Project.
The mission of the Edible Schoolyard Project is to build and share an edible education curriculum for kindergarten through high school. They envision gardens and kitchens as interactive classrooms for all academic subjects, and a free, nutritious, organic lunch for every student.
