Inaside Chicago Dance Project: A New Direction
Inaside is thrilled to present the 4th annual Inaside Chicago Dance Project: A New Direction. Highlighting all the new and exciting happenings going on at ICD, this years take on the performance is one of change and inspiration. Audiences will see SIX premieres! Resident Choreographer and Choreographic Sponsor, Eddy Ocampo will present two works, The Alarm Will Sound and Beckoned. Artistic Director, Richard A. Smith brings a trio and a large group piece to the stage. Board President, Amanda Farrar, delights with her new whimsical take on love in Long Story Short. Company Member, Lisa Scurlock, makes her choreographic debut as this years In-House Choreographer. Finally, audiences will see Back Seat Driver, re-constructed and choreographed by Elijah Gibson and the beautifully stunning work, Unadorned, by Lizzie MacKenzie. An exciting evening of dance that takes audiences through a range of emotions and to different places within each piece, each viewer is guaranteed to leave the theatre with A New Direction.
