2nd Friday Jazz and Jam Series featuring Mwanza Furaha
Kicking off the Hannah Gallery's 2nd Friday Jazz Series is Mwanza Furaha - a gifted vocalist, actor, dancer, producer, instructor, and all-around entertainer. She has established herself as a skilled professional in a career that has spanned over 50 plus years and has appeared with such greats as Pharoah Saunders, Lou Rawls, Betty Carter and Carmen McRae. A frequent performer at the Two Bird Cafe in San Geronimo Valley, Ms. Furaha will be celebrating her 68th Birthday at the October 11th concert and will be joined by Duane 'Muziki' Roberson on keyboards; Jack Pendergast guitar;and Marciel Marty Garner on drums.
