St. Gregory's University theatre seniors Macy Conley, James Mitchell, and Kjersti King direct and design this play by Lee Blessing.
The Two Rooms of the title are a windowless room in which an American hostage is being held by terrorists, and a room in his home in the United States which his wife has emptied of furniture in order to, at least symbolically, sit with her husband through his ordeal. The play explores questions of war, politics, and love. What can those who suffer through such a tragedy do to help their loved ones? Can they do anything at all, or is all action futile? Can two people separated by distance be together in spirit?
Two rooms contains themes of violence, and some language, and may therefore not be suitable for all audiences.
