POSTPONED MAGICK: Facing Our Shadows, the beginning

Working with and responding to what we perceive as darker energies in our homes and our lives, beginning with facing our fears and from there establishing our true boundaries and obligations (90 minutes, includes journaling time)

Shadow-work is part of advancement in metaphysical, spiritual paths, but what does it mean? In recent years it has become a buzzword that is part of the self-improvement code the negative things we find out about ourselves or the things that we avoid, that we then identify so we can continue avoiding them. Yet this approach, while bringing momentary self-recognition, fails to truly embrace, value, and hear the shadow as it needs.
Our shadows -- those dark emotions we don't want to feel, those drivers that we re-label and to justify sometimes bad and harmful behavior -- need to be heard, need to be seen and need to be understood before we can move into working with dark energies, whether demons, wrathful angels, or especially vengeful gods. This energy and meditation-based workshop call upon the time of the Wild Hunt (between Samhain and Yule) to summon our darkness to ourselves that we can turn and face what we run from, and learn how that affects our mindset and the impact of our magickal energy.

Diana Rajchel is an author, witch, psychic life coach, and mental play kinkster. She's also a lifelong empath with feral tendencies.
