The Haliburton Highlands Museum is re-opening to visitors by appointment. We invite you to book a time for a private visit to the site for up to EIGHT members of your household and/or "social bubble" (as outlined by the province). A "pay what you wish" admission fee for your group visit can also be made here, if you wish, though it's not required. If you prefer, donations to the museum can also be easily made by cheque or e-transfer - contact the museum to find out how. Donations of $50.00 or more are eligible for a tax receipt. We thank you for your support of the Haliburton Highlands Museum! Your visit to the museum will include the chance to tour our main gallery space, which celebrates the history and heritage of our community, as well as our 1870s museum farmstead. Each visit will include a physically distanced blacksmithing demonstration if desired. In light of the current situation regarding COVID-19, we ask that all members of your party pre-screen and that if any member of your party feels in any way unwell or has possibly been in contact with someone with COVID-19, that you postpone your visit. Museum staff will be happy to help you re-schedule by phone or e-email. We also ask that while you are on site, you follow our health and safety guidelines, including sanitizing your hands before entering the premises. The wearing of self-provided masks is also required under the new guidelines provided by the HKPR District Health Unit. We thank you for your patience, understanding and cooperation, as we all navigate this new temporary normal and we look forward to welcoming you to the museum!
