ONLINE: MAGICK: ElahmVidyan: how I made my own magic system and language and you can too
NOTE: This will be an online class via Zoom. Zoom information will be sent to all participants one hour before the event.
If you are like me, you may have been intrigued by the occult but struggled to find a magical system that fit you perfectly. Perhaps there were elements and beliefs you found in magic(k) that resonated with you, but you didn't love everything in the practice they are from. What is holding you back from engaging with the exact style of magic you wish to bring into your practice?
Fifteen years ago, I experimented with various aspects of chaos magic in order to write a magical system that represented my needs completely. After developing, practicing, and revising this system over the period of more than a decade, I have learned quite a bit about approaching magic with flexibility and accountability in order to create something wholly your own. This class will demonstrate how to develop and fill out your own system of occult practice, as well as invent your own magical language for divination and incantations.
By deconstructing and pointing out the choices I made in creating ElahmVidyan, I will show how different choices can be made to better express what it is that you love about magic(k). We will cover both the chaos magic principles that I used as well as relative points in linguistics This class will include illustrations, examples, handouts and Q&A.

Jarys Maragopoulos is a History and Language Arts Teacher, who has studied the occult informally for over 15 years, They have co-hosted Wicked Grounds' monthly Sex Magick Coffee Social and serve as a Volunteer elected Pastor at the First Church of the Morningstar.
