Closed Season

A Jewish refugee from Nazi German makes it to Switzerland and he is given shelter by a German farm family. The farmer, who is impotent, prevails upon the Jew to father a child by his wife. This sensitive and carefully-nuanced drama, is filled with strong elements of honor, jealousy and betrayal, and the relationships become understandably complicated after the farmers wife becomes pregnant.
