A DUB SUPREME
A DUB SUPREME is a re-imagining of John Coltranes 1965 jazz masterpiece, A Love Supreme, through the fusion of jazz, reggae, dub, and world beat. Orchestrated by virtuoso drummer Dave Noonan and a genius ensemble, the projects mission is adventurous: convey the spiritual essence of Coltranes work while using it as a portal to brand new sonic territory.
The voyage promises to be an exciting, improvisational experience, taking passengers through magnetic grooves spun from a spectrum of rhythm, sound, and spirit.
These players are attempting something that has never been done before, contributing to the rich, musical legacy of the region, while aligning with Coltranes mission to uplift people...to inspire them to realize more and more their capacities for living meaningful lives. This is going to be an electrifying night of creative collaboration.
