Stories of Place: a one day storytelling workshop
A one-day workshop all about telling traditional stories and exploring the links between story and place. This day is for beginners and those who would like to improve their storytelling skills.
We will work with a British wonder tale to look at story structure, character, and idiosyncrasy; walk the story, considering environment and audience; discuss ways to make a story come alive in honouring where it comes from; and work with techniques for remembering story and gaining confidence.
By the end of the day, you will have had the opportunity to tell at least one story that you can take away and make your own.
