Frog in Hand Summer Intensive: LEAPfrog (AUGUST edition)
Are you a dancer who wants to act? Are you an actor who wants to move? Us too! Frog in Hand's AUGUST workshop "LEAPfrog" was designed just for you! We are thrilled you are reading this and hope you register.
This workshop approaches storytelling through the expressive lens of the body. The LEAPfrog workshop exists so dancers and actors can train together to explore narrativity, character development, physical expressiveness and storytelling. At LEAPfrog, participants are welcomed with classes in the morning and a collaborative creation lab in the afternoon. The workshop refines what it means to engage in "dance-theatre" or "physical-theatre" work while cultivating a reflective practise.
This compelling and fun intensive will take place August 3rd-6th from 9am-4pm in Toronto at Rapier Wit. LEAPfrog was created by Frog in Hand in partnership with Daniel Levinson and Rapier Wit. This four-day model is an opportunity to more deeply delve into movement and storytelling research in a week-long process - folks interested in a shorter version of the workshop should check out our MARCH 20-21st 2020 edition.
WHO can take the workshop? We suggest people participate who are at least 16-18 years old at a minimum, with around 3-5 years of physical training. We regret Rapier Wit is not fully accessible to all mobility devices, please contact us with any inquires on accessibility needs.
