Bikes and Blues (Bikes Only)
Bikes and Blues is an annual event held early in the morning on the day of the Blind Willie McTell Music Festival. The riders chose to navigate either a 30-mile Statesboro Blues loop or a 50-mile Broke Down Engine Blues loop. The loops were named for two of Blind Willie McTells well known songs. 2020 marks the 4th year the cycle event combined with the festival. Hometown Warren and the Thomson-McDuffie Convention and Visitors Bureau partner for the bikes and blues ride.

Check in for the May 2nd cycle tour will begin at 8:00 am, the ride begins at 9:00 am. The 50 mile riders should arrive back at the festival site in time for the festival grounds to open at 11:00 am. The one-day blues music festival pays homage to the legacy of McDuffie County native Blind Willie McTell. He was an early 20th Century pioneer on the 12-string guitar and sang and played in a wide variety of musical styles. He was author of songs including Statesboro Blues.
