LLTK Chairman's Council Luncheon
The 2008 LLTK Chairman's Council luncheon will feature a special report from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife about the newly negotiated Pacific Salmon Treaty Chinook Annex. The new agreement calls for a reduction in Canadian and Alaskan harvest of Chinook by 1 million fish over the next ten years. Learn how WDFW and its partners will ensure that ample numbers of threatened Chinook return to healthy rivers to spawn, while also managing hatchery fish for a harvest that does not adversly impact the wild fish.
Plus, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife and Long Live the Kings will report on the recently completed 21st Century Salmon and Steelhead Initiative, an innovative partnership to create a new salmon and steelhead management framework.
