One Godless Woman
After leaving England at the age of 9, Iman grew up in a conflict ridden, abusive and polygamous household in Saudi Arabia where subjugation, misogyny & routine violations of human rights were common inside & law outside the home.
After her father decided that Iman was never allowed to get married, she was sent, by no choice of her own, to medical school at King Saud University. She graduated in 2001 and was granted a scholarship to attend the Anesthesiology program in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Iman became the first female Anesthesia student from Saudi Arabia in Nova Scotia. During her residency here, she was sexually assaulted by a Saudi doctor who, ironically, knew her from the hospital she worked at in Saudi.
Prior to coming to Canada, by the age of 25, Iman had already been abducted once by the religious authorities, imprisoned 3 times, and sentenced to 80 lashes without a trial.
After being disowned, she arrived in Canada in March 2003 and enrolled in a driving school, something unimaginable for women in Saudi Arabia. After discovering the taste of freedom, Iman decided to speak up. She began a blog series titled Time for me to talk" (http://xsaudi.blogspot.com/?m=1) which quickly went viral in and outside of Saudi Arabia. Subsequently, women trying to escape subjugation reached out to her for help and she managed to assist many either plan their escape or actually escape.
After the election of Justin Trudeau, when he began allowing the Liberal party to be infiltrated by Islamists, implementing Islamist policies and giving money to terrorist organizations, Iman decided to speak up again. She now has a Podcast, and a YouTube channel, "One Godless Woman".
