April is Jazz Appreciation Month, and in honor of the 10-year anniversary of the Northampton Jazz Workshop, the Northampton Jazz Festival is sponsoring a spectacular Jazz Brunch on April 5 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Delaney House, 3 Country Club Road in Holyoke, Mass.
This year, our featured performer is renowned saxophonist Houston Person, who has been a friend of Jazz in Northampton for many years, having performed regularly at the Northampton Jazz Workshop, the Northampton Jazz Festival in 2013, and at the Northampton Arts Council's Retro Fair in 2015.
Join us to enjoy a delicious brunch with friends, listen to live jazz, and feel great that you are supporting jazz education in the Northampton Public Schools through the Davis Financial Group Jazz Artists in the Schools program.
The Davis Financial Group Jazz Artists in the Schools Program, launched in October 2018, brings professional jazz musicians to the JFK Middle School in Florence three times a year to provide clinics, workshops and assemblies with jazz band students over two days.
Come out in your spring-time best to enjoy delicious food, a masterful jazz performance, and stand together as a jazz community celebrating the Northampton Jazz Workshop and the future of jazz education!
