Spur's 10th Birthday Party!
Spur-of-the-Moment Shakespeare Collective is turning ten years old - and we are so excited to celebrate with old and new friends! Come for a night of revelry at The Paddock Tavern - because the answer is always "to party' ;)

PARTY:
When: Doors at 7:00 pm, Acts starting at 7:30 pm
Tickets: PWYC (suggested contribution of $5)

We will be partying the night away with awesome performers! Stay tuned for our lineup ;)

Ever wanted to see Artistic Director Torey Urquart play the ukulele? Do her audition pieces? Anything else we can think of? We do! Throughout the night you can put your $5 towards getting these things to happen! Once the jars reach $100, she takes the stage! ;) (Please note jar options may not appear on mobile site-- if so, send an email with your purchase to shakespur@gmail.com to stay in the action!)

WHY:
Annually the SOTMSC operates the Shakespeare-in-Hospitals program. A project that is exactly what it sounds like: we create new shows, using Shakespeares words, designed specifically to bring to patients in hospitals across the GTA, like Mount Sinai, Sunnybrook and CAMH and more, at no charge to the hospitals or the patients. We receive generous funding from CCA, and we reserve that grant funding for hospitals, which means other exciting events need help to get off the ground!

WHO WE ARE:
The Spur-Of-The-Moment Shakespeare Collective (SOTMSC) was founded in 2010 by Victoria Urquhart and Sean Horbatiuk, to cultivate a community of emerging artists with a shared interest in Shakespeare and community engagement.

The SOTMSC continues to grow and develop projects under the mandate of: Establishing and cultivating community engagement in areas in and around Toronto experiencing isolation based on economic, social, and physical barriers. Our mission statement is to marry classical text, contemporary performance, and audience interaction to invite and encourage people to engage with their community.
