Hillsdale High School Drama is proud to announce our 2020 spring play, She Kills Monsters, by Qui Nguyen. Performances are March 5-8 in the Hillsdale High School Little Theater.
A comedic romp into the world of fantasy role-playing games, She Kills Monsters tells the story of high schooler Agnes Evans as she deals with the death of her younger sister, Tilly. When Agnes stumbles upon Tillys Dungeons & Dragons notebook, she finds herself catapulted into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was her sisters refuge. In this high-octane dramatic comedy laden with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres, and 90s pop culture, acclaimed playwright Qui Nguyen offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all.
She Kills Monsters is directed by Allison Gamlen, with lighting by HHS Alum Meghan Souther, and costume design by HHS Senior Ruby Juballa. Performances will be in Hillsdales Little Theater. Hillsdale High School is located at 3115 Del Monte Street, San Mateo, with the Little Theater located on the 31stAvenue side of the campus.
Length of show: Approx. 90 mins including intermission.
Recommended for 6th grade and up (adult themes and stage combat).

Tickets at the Door: $17 Adults; $12 Students/Seniors (62+); $10 Preview
SMUHSD Students (with Student ID) will be able to get free tickets for the Student section at each show at the door. Once that section is full, there will no more free tickets available.
