Re-introducing the folk revival's old-timey style to today's folk audience, a Wiyos' show ranges from riotous rural novelty songs to Vaudeville, early swing, surf harmonies, and any other vintage sound that catches their fancy. They're theatrical, funny, and almost athletic in their approach. The WIYOS were launched onto the national stage a few years back as Bob Dylan's opening act. Their most recent release is an acclaimed concept album called "Twist" based loosely on the Wizard of Oz.
