Feisty Ticky is an artful dodger cheeky and daring with a streetwise swagger and little respect for rules. He escapes the realities of his 1980s Sugarhill District existence by living in a Bollywood dream world where hes an unbeatable action hero. Rooftops are his kingdom. When timid Baboo moves into the neighborhood with his snooty, academic dad, Ticky thinks hes the biggest loser hes ever seen but soon the two boys are drawn together by the shared threat of local bully and crime boss, Raja. Together, these two nine-year-old misfits decide to rid their community of the bully. Their plan mimic the antics and mannerisms of their Bollywood heroes.
** Content advisory: This films story includes Bollywood-style violence, weapons, a plotline including drug dealing, race and gender discrimination and mild cursing on multiple occasions. Even so, at its heart, this is a joyful film about innocent childhood friendship and adventure. **
