The Hourglass Series comes to Bryant-Lake Bowl Theater the first Wednesdays of the month starting in February. Pop-Up Improv is joined by guest performers each night rounding out a star-studded cast of improvisers. It will be an evening of spontaneous new work that audiences cant miss.
In an alternating fashion, teams offer improvised scenes, moments or series of moments comprised of movement, sound and story, that intuit a complete 45-60 minute performance. Scenes are marked by the turning of the hourglass with the length of the scenes determined by the amount of sand that remains. The balance of time is delicate, for when the hourglass starts the show starts-when the sand stops, the show stops.
