GABRIEL MEAGHER "DIVA"
Gabriel Meagher hails from Shawinigan, Québec where he has been involved in the music, theatre and dance from the age of 11. ''My parents remind me that whenever Whitney Huston or Cher would play in our household I would be jumping up and down ready to just perform their songs''.
His early training came from the school Au Coin des Artistes where he has performed a total of 12 shows with this company. In early 2011, Gabriel moved to Toronto to pursue studies in musical theatre at the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts.
Gabriel's biggest inspirations and favorite Broadway performers include Jonathan Larson, Annaleigh Ashford, Eden Espinosa, Sutton Foster, Beyoncé, Kelly Clarkson. ''RENT has always been my biggest inspiration.'' When seeing RENT for the first time on stage Gabriel couldn't imagine himself not being a part of this industry. It moved him in ways he never thought possible and he is now wishing to do the same with audiences everywhere.
Gabriel has since been part of great productions throughout Canada. Some of his favorite credits include: 82% - Atlantic Tour (Nate), Hairspray (Edna Turnblad), Sky Gilbert's Kitchen Party Nervous Breakdown Reality TV Show (Gabe), Rock Legends (Soloist), Cloud Nine (Edward). Gabriel would like to thank his parents for always supporting him, no matter what. Gabriel recently completed a series of Cabarets at the Flying Beaver Pubaret with the Cababies and is now looking to start his own Cabaret career. This production is a mix of amazing diva songs, musical theatre through Gabriel's journey. Celine move back, Gabriel is coming for you.
