KALINIXTA MARGARITA -
The story takes place in a small provincial town at Yannena (Greece), during the years of occupation of the Second World War. The Perdkiaris family is a typical depiction of an upper-class provincial family, characterized by bigotry, greed, fraud, complicity, reciprocity, and distrust, which has been distraught by its own mistakes and self-hypocrisy. This institution will collapse from within when the familys only child, the young teacher Margarita, will initiate her own resistance against the Germans by joining a populist movement. Ready to rebel against her familys intrinsic values, Margarita finds the ultimate way to escape.
