The Ranee's Soirée (A Benefit for Canadian Rajah)
THE RANEE'S SOIRÉE:
An Evening of Entertainment and Activities to Raise Funds for the February 2020 Production of Canadian Rajah
The Ranee's Soirée is a one night only event to raise funds for the remount of Dave Carley's CANADIAN RAJAH. On Saturday, November 9th, 2019, the Canadian Rajah Collective will be hosting an evening of activities and entertainment at the historic Campbell House Museum at 160 Queen Street West, Toronto.
The Ranee's Soirée will run from 8:30pm until 11:00pm in all rooms of the Campbell House Museum. The Ballroom will offer waltzing and lessons from professional dancers. There will be a Silent Auction for ticket holders to bid on CANADIAN RAJAH themed items. The Astounding Antoine will be in attendance to offer complimentary Tarot Card readings to guests. The main floor will feature live performance in one room and an authentic Edwardian-themed escape/puzzle room. In the lower level of the house, there will be a Cash bar which will feature live 1920s era piano music and lounge singing, as well as snacks inspired by CANADIAN RAJAH. Production have been anonymously donated as a Door Prize at the event
Governor Generals Award nominated playwright, Dave Carley (Writing With Our Feet), premiered his new play CANADIAN RAJAH at the Campbell House Museum in February 2019. Now, back by popular demand, the Canadian Rajah Collective will be remounting the production at Campbell House in February 2020. The funds raised on November 9th will go toward production expenses and
artist fees for the upcoming production.
About Canadian Rajah Collective: The collective was formed in 2018 to produce the premiere run of Dave Carley's new work, CANADIAN RAJAH as a site-specific production at Campbell House Museum in Toronto. The collective members have since rejoined to plan this event to raise funds toward
their upcoming February 2020 production of CANADIAN RAJAH returning to Campbell House.
