Design Access | Open Projects Tour (2019 Experience Architecture)
Info: Friday, October 4, noon - 5:00 p.m., FREE (registration required)

Where: Locations vary. A guide map and detailed information on locations will be provided to registered attendees.  

Overview: Experience architecture first-hand, and explore interiors at your own pace, during these exclusive open projects tours. This year the tour showcases two project types: residential and civic, addressing housing options and civic pride within Sacramento and Roseville.

Explore the newly renovated Sacramento Memorial Auditorium, Sacramento State University Union Expansion, downtown Sacramentos BelVue Apartments and Rosevilles Bridges District, to name a few!

Locations will have an AIA architect on-site to discuss the project, provide information and answer questions. A guide map and detailed information on all the locations will be provided to registered attendees.

Experience Architecture is a public-outreach event designed by AIA Central Valley to facilitate greater transparency with the public in how architects create our built environment and how it impacts their daily lives; to create an ongoing dialogue to inform a distinct, regional, architectural identity; and to highlight existing relationships between the region and its architecture. The 2019 event is scheduled from October 1st - 13th.
