Maria Ogrydziak, AIA: Action Through Architecture for Homeless Housing (2019 Experience Architecture)
Info: Thursday, October 3, 5:30  7:30 p.m., $10

Where: AIA Central Valley Gallery, 1400 S Street, Suite 100, Sacramento

Overview: Get inspired by the power of design as a catalyst in meeting the needs of the homeless in our communities. Architect Maria Ogrydziak, AIA will share Pauls Place, her first of its kind vertical tiny-home village, that will replace the aging and dilapidated Davis Community Meals and Housing building.

The Centers lower floors provide a resource center for immediate needs of guests, as well as transitional housing and facilities. The upper two floors contain over 18 square-feet of permanent supportive housing. The design demonstrates a path out of homelessness, and provides a dignified environment for staff and residents alike.

Event will include presentation, light refreshments and a Q&A Session.

Event led by: Maria Ogrydziak, AIA

SPONSORS: Comstocks Magazine, SMUD, Milgard Windows & Doors, Lionakis, and Fulcrum Properties.
