Meet Me Here pairs each movement of the Latin mass with a piece that shares similar textual themes, though often from a different vantage point. Old is paired with new, sacred with secular, exuberance with calm. From choral favourites by Mendelssohn, Palestrina, and Poulenc to the Canadian premiere of Polish composer Marian Borkowskis Gloria, the program has been carefully crafted to put a unique twist on the traditional choral mass.
