YOHURA presents: Toi, La Maladie
Fresh off its stage debut at the 2019 Camden Fringe Festival, Toi, La Maladie is coming to Toronto.
Creating a show with your ex ABOUT that ex: What could possibly go wrong?
Born from the ashes of an aching, virulent love, YOHURA have taken to the stage to tell the story of their tumultuous history together - from collision to collapse - featuring everything from diabolo to self-bondage and beyond.
YOHURA will be joined by a brilliant cast of guest artists for the North American premiere of Toi, La Maladie at the Alumnae Theatre.
This show paints the intimate, voyeuristic portrait of a love that courses through the body like an illness. It wages war with the psyche before it steals furtively away, leaving you shivering in its wake. It permeates every vein and muscle, dissolving almost into a fever dream onstage. Raw, tender, and ravenous Toi, La Maladie is a haunting symbiosis of human geometry and human emotion, demanding that you bear witness.
Toi, La Maladie will take place in the studio theatre (3rd floor) at the Alumnae Theatre.
