CRAFTING YOUR STORY (6-week class)
CRAFTING YOUR STIORY is a 6-week class that occurs in Wilmette on Tuesday nights, from 6:30pm-8:45pm, starting on October 15th.  

In this class, we will mine, write, and craft full, five or six-minute stories to share for fun or performance.  

We will start each class with creativity exercises, then we'll launch into oral stories, writing prompts, sharing, and feedback. We will focus on making this process SUPER FUN!

During the six weeks, the Story Jam Studio team will invite a few top tellers from the community to share their personal insights and tips.

We will work on writing and performing techniques all in the spirit of joy and creativity!

Space is limited to 10 participants. Everyone will get plenty of personal attention and group feedback with some of the most talented pros in Chicago.


October 15, 22, 29, and November 5th, 12th, and 19th.

Story Jam Studio™ offers workshops, classes, and retreats as the educational arm of Story Jam Inc. (

Story Jam Inc. produces a popular live lit and music show (Story Jam) in Chicago that consistently features top storytellers and a fantastic band that plays songs written specifically for each story.  

Story Jam Studio is a team of artists, producers, and performers who are all affiliated with the live show.

Story Jam creator, Stephanie Rogers, has a theatre degree from Northwestern, and she will receive a master's in Written Communication from National Louis this winter. Stephanie started Story Jam in 2015, and she is dedicated to connecting people through the art of personal narrative and music. Her technique of crafting story is inspired by her experience in theatre, performance, and writing.
