Colours of Autumn
The second in my new series of nature craft day workshops is based around the colours and shapes all around us in autumn. We will start with a nature walk to get inspiration for the day, followed by coffee/tea and seasonal homemade cake. Then local natural dye expert Rhyannan Hall will teach how to make natural dyes using blackberries, madder root and plants that can be foraged in autumn. We will have a go at dyeing silks using different plant dyes and you will get to take home your creations. After an autumnal wild-food inspired buffet lunch, I will run a 2-hour linoprinting workshop using autumn leaves and plants collected on our walk for inspiration. Once you have created your design in lino, you will get the chance to print a linen tea towel with your design to take home too.
