Flavours of Autumn
Im so excited to introduce a new series of nature inspired craft workshops based around our different senses during different seasons. The first in the series is "Flavours of Autumn, based around the wild foods around at this time of year and preserving them to enjoy throughout the year. The day starts with a foraging walk to gather blackberries, elderberries and other wild foods, then after coffee and homemade seasonal cake, there will be a 2-hour preserving and pickling workshop with Hannah from Herbs & Wild. She will demonstrate a seasonal jam recipe and then everyone will have a chance to bottle their own wild fruit infused spirit/cordial to take home with them, along with a booklet of great recipes. After a seasonal, wild food inspired autumn buffet lunch, we will learn how to carve jam and chutney spoons from wood with the lovely Jem from Jem Woodcraft in Clevedon. You will get to take home a couple handmade spoons to serve your homemade jams and chutneys with or to give as gifts.
