Both 3.0
David Connolly and Taylor Long are back to present BOTH 3.0, the third annual fundraising concert in support of the War Amps of Canada's Child Amputee Program. They are joined by Anthony Bastianon at the piano and very special guests and fellow CHAMP amputee performers, Ben Faulknor and Jennifer Pos.
The benefit concert will take place on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. at the Glenn Gould Studio located in the Canadian Broadcasting Centre building, 250 Front St. W, Toronto, ON. Lobby Bar will be open at 6PM. A post show reception will follow.
DAVID CONNOLLY is a Nova Scotia native and longtime CHAMP Ambassador who made his Broadway debut in the revival of Shenandoah and went on to perform in theatres across Canada including The Stratford Festival. Now a director and choreographer for stage and screen, his musical credits include helming Drayton Entertainment's Canadian regional premieres of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Disney's Newsies and Mamma Mia! and collaborating with artists including Katy Perry, kd lang, Elton John and Sarah Brightman.
TAYLOR LONG was born and raised in Halifax before moving to Toronto where he began writing as Senior Editor for BroadwayWorld.com Toronto. Long studied classical voice at Dalhousie University and has appeared in various regional musical theatre and opera productions. He spent over 10 years as a counsellor with The War Amps of Canada, for which he was presented with a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2013. Long currently works for the Canadian Opera Company.
Music Director ANTHONY BASTIANON has over 150 productions to his credit including 40 productions over 13 seasons with Stage West. His versatility as a musician has brought him opportunities to work with pop celebrities such as Chantel Kreviazuk, Dan Hill and Josh Groban as well as theatre icons Andrea Martin and Michael Burgess. Bastianon is currently the artistic director of Voices Rock Canada.
Special Guests
BEN FAULKNOR is a 17-year old musical theatre performer from Hamilton, Ontario who was born without his right hip and femur, a condition known as proximal focal femoral deficiency (PFFD). The Westmount High School graduate is entering his first year of the esteemed Sheridan College Honors Bachelor of Musical Theatre Performance in the fall.
JENNIFER POS is a former CHAMP and pianist from New Glasgow, Nova Scotia who was born missing her left hand who completed her Bachelor of Music degree at Humber College in Jazz Performance. She is equally adept at classical music, and earned her Grade 9 piano from the Royal Conservatory of Music with first class honours with distinction.
The War Amps of Canada's Child Amputee Program (CHAMP) offers comprehensive services to child amputees and their families, including financial assistance, regional seminars and peer support. Financial assistance is provided for standard artificial limbs, recreational devices, travel to prosthetic centres and bursaries for post-secondary education.
