UUCB Concerts for a Cause: DON CAMPBELL BAND

The Don Campbell Band will perform at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Brunswick on May 9th at 7:30 pm as part of the Concerts for a Cause series. Two-thirds of the proceeds from this seasons concerts will be donated to TEDFORD HOUSING (housing and services for the homeless) and OASIS FREE CLINICS (free medical and dental services for those who are uninsured and can't afford insurance).
Don Campbell is an award-winning singer-songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist He has a unique and uncanny ability to sing comfortably in the tenor range of Vince Gill, Chris Isaak or Dan Fogelberg, and go easily into the sub-bass vocal level range of country greats Josh Turner and Johnny Cash. Don and the Band play adult contemporary, country, Celtic, bluegrass, and rock, but most of their music resides in the home of American crossover akin to the Eagles and John Cougar Mellencamp. Don has released 12 CDs, most recently a two-disc, 23-song collection, "Kites to Fly: Celebrating the Music of Dan Fogelberg".
The Don Campbell Band has been a mainstay at concerts, fairs, festivals, cruises, and civic events for over 20 years, performing a mix of Dons original music and covers from over the decades. Their dynamic and inspired performances have won them the $50,000.00 Grand Prize at Nashvilles Grand Ol Opry with his original music, a Grand Prize custom Gibson Les Paul guitar from Jim Beams Back Room Band Search, and hes a six-time winner of the title, Maines Best Singer-Songwriter from the Maine Sunday Telegrams Annual Readers Poll. Don was also named Male Artist of the Year for the Just Plain Folks Independent Music Awards.
