Rachel Hutchins trained at the National Conservatory in Nancy, France, where she earned her Premier Prix in voice performance. Rachel performed for many years in the chorus of the Opéra National de Lorraine and in a variety of regional solo concerts, including the role of Lola in a production of Douglas Moores opera Gallantry with opera colleagues in Nancys Salle Poirel. In Paris, Rachel was the soprano soloist for the chamber orchestra Anthémis from 2007 to 2017, where concert highlights include a solo program of Mozart arias as part of the Sixteenth Arrondissements annual music festival, numerous Bach cantatas, and performances of Pergolesis Stabat Mater in churches including Saint Paul and Saint Séverin. Having recently moved back to the U.S., Rachel is delighted to perform in various venues around the city.

WaterLynx formed this year after Natalia Steinbach released her solo EP and wanted all of the harmonies and parts to be recreated. Now the group consists of an innovative collaboration of composers/improvisers/musicians who value the beauty and intensity of vocal harmony, and the versatility of violin(Natalia) and piano(Chloe Golding) instrumentation. The two compose music separately and together with lyrical content focused on feminine power, environmental conscience, as well as mental health advocacy. Their music is intriguingly beautiful as well as unapologetically fierce.

Wise & Young is the Boston-based duo of percussionist Peter Wise and violinist Jeffrey Young, who create electronically effected instrumental music. The duo mines classical, rock, jazz and electronic influences and pulls nuance and wonder as much from traditional instruments like violin and drums as from found materials, pots and pans, and eviscerated 80s drum machines. They develop their music collaboratively through a process of improvisation, recording, and revision.

Peter and Jeffrey met in New York Citys creative music scene during their years living in the city, then reconnected after each moved independently to the Allston/Brighton section of Boston. Their initial work together was supported by an Opportunity Fund grant from the Boston Cultural Council, which provided funding and a venue, the Harvard Ed Portal, for their duo premiere in March 2019.
