Magnifying Mushrooms - art and science workshop
Working with artist and scientist Sue Brisco participants will closely investigate the world of fungi. The session will begin with with a short talk and there will be a chance to explore the landscape. We will then examine fungi specimens using a light-microscope, responding creatively through drawing in watercolour pencil.
There will be an optional opportunity to exhibit the final results as part of the Magnifying Mushrooms Open day and exhibition on Saturday the 7th of September 2019.
Suitable for age 14+ No experience necessary.
All materials will be provided.
Part of Magnifying Mushrooms -a project exploring the importance of fungi & nature connections through education work, creative workshops and artists responses.
This workshop is available at a special discounted rate due to funding support from Grow Wild UK and National Lottery Community Fund & an Open Access Award from Creative Black Country.
