Program: 7:00 - 8:30 pm Recognition of the signing of Pittsburgh Human Relations Ordinance #395 banning sex discrimination; the Ordinance made Pittsburgh's anti-discrimination laws the strongest in the country. Premiere of "Changing the Want Ads" - a short documentary featuring members of the Greater Pittsburgh Area Chapter of the National Organization for Women who advocated for adding sex to the anti-discrimination ordinance and the subsequent law suit that resulted in a precedent setting U.S. Supreme Court decision against the Pittsburgh Press' practice of sex segregated want ads.
