Opa ! The Cheese is On Fire - Greek BBQ Class
Tired of the same old typical BBQ ? Learn the art of Greek Style Rotisserie BBQ using the "foukou" (Cypriot Grill). The Greeks have been spit roasting meat for centuries and you will learn how to duplicate this style of BBQ in your own yard. We will also be cooking on a standard charcoal kettle grill as well.
Participants will learn to prep and cook the following meats:
Kondosouvla (spit roasted pork butt)
Lamb "Slammers" with grilled red pepper feta sauce
Grilled Grecian Chicken
While the meat is cooking the class will sit and enjoy a little meze (appetizer) as well.
This class is hands on and a full cash bar is available to enjoy during and after the class. Spend a Saturday afternoon relaxing and learning to grill the Greek way.
All participants will be given a recipe booklet of everything we cook to take home with them along with a 12 oz bottle of Head's Greek Mojo Dust and a bottle of Head's Red BBQ sauce.
Partial proceeds from this event will be donated to the American Legion for their veterans programs.
About the instructor - Bill Mehilos has won numerous awards competing in competition BBQ including 3 grand Championships. His BBQ sauce was awarded a 1st place Award of Excellence by the National BBQ Assoc. in 2010. He owns Head's Red BBQ in Roselle Illinois which caters BBQ and creates and sells BBQ sauce and rubs/seasonings.
